The mission of the Hines Foundation is to serve partners, social entrepreneurs, and the global community by providing infrastructure and support to strong servant leaders called to enduring movements. In doing so, we act as a catalyst to enable and encourage social, economic, spiritual, and personal growth.

Global Impact through Social Entrepreneurship
A social entrepreneur is someone who recognizes a societal problem and uses entrepreneurial principles to organize, create, and manage a venture that helps the poor, produces social growth and invites positive change. Whereas a business entrepreneur typically measures performance in profit and return, a social entrepreneur focuses on creating personal and societal “capital.” While making a profit is not intrinsically evil, the primary aim of a social entrepreneur is to further societal, educational, spiritual, and environmental goals. We also specifically look for Enduring Entrepreneurship - Innovation geared towards sustainability.
